About Rini
Rini Africa was born from a fascination with fabric.
The Fascination
Its texture. Its history. The hands that shape it, and the stories it carries. Rini began as a study of these things, long before it became a brand.
We look closely at cloth most of the world only glances at — at the techniques behind Bazin, Adire and Batik, and at the trade routes, dye pits and guilds that shaped them.
What Rini Is, For Now
This first chapter of Rini Africa is not a store. There is no catalogue, no cart, no prices here yet. What you will find instead is an archive — fabric, history and craft, presented with the care we think it deserves.
We are building the foundation first: the research, the storytelling, the relationships with the traditions we draw from. Everything else can follow.
The Founder
The Woman Behind Rini
Khadija Suleiman Shehu Jebu grew up between Jos and Kano — two places that shaped her eye, her sense of culture, and her relationship with fashion.
Jos gave her an appreciation for creativity and expression. Kano immersed her in heritage, craftsmanship, textile and colour. Between the two, a contemporary perspective took root — the one she now brings to Rini Africa.
A youth leader and entrepreneur at heart, she has spent her career building spaces for others to grow. Rini is an extension of that same instinct — where her love of fabric, culture and design meets a longer, more purposeful story.
Rini is not trying to reproduce history exactly. We interpret African textile artistry through a contemporary lens.
